Macquarie Generation employee Luke Derwin has won the 'Apprentice of the Year Award' at the Hunter Region Apprenticeship and Traineeship Advisory Committee Awards.
Luke Derwin is currently employed at Macquarie Generation in the position of Generation Technician after recently completing a four year Electrical Apprenticeship.
The award was presented at the HRATA Awards Dinner on Friday 22 June.

Luke Derwin is currently employed at Macquarie Generation in the position of Generation Technician after recently completing a four year Electrical Apprenticeship.
In addition to his Certificate of Proficiency in Certificate III in Electro technology Systems Electrician Trade Certificate, Mr Derwin has completed an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Luke is also a part time teacher at TAFE Muswellbrook, using his extensive knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering subjects.
